# What is ReviewPine?

ReviewPine takes the reviews customers already left on your **Google Business Profile** and shows them on your own website, in a design that matches your brand. Visitors see real, verified praise at the exact moment they are deciding whether to call, book or buy.

## What you get

- **Review widgets** in five layouts: Slider, Grid, List, Sidebar and Badge, each in light and dark.
- **A full customiser** for colours, fonts, corners, card style, header, which reviews show and in what order.
- **One line of code** that works on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and any HTML page.
- **A dashboard** that turns your reviews into useful numbers: rating, new reviews, what customers praise and what needs attention.
- **A "Write a review" button** that opens Google's review form for your business, so happy customers can add a new review in two taps.

## How it works

1. You paste your business's Google Maps link. We find your listing and import its reviews.
2. You pick a ready-made layout and adjust it until it looks right.
3. You copy the embed code into your website. The widget appears with your reviews.

After that, any change you save in the customiser shows on your website straight away. You never need to touch the code again.

## Who it is for

- **Local businesses**: clinics, salons, restaurants, coaching centres, shops, hotels and service providers.
- **Businesses without a shopfront**, such as plumbers, tutors and consultants who visit customers (see [service-area businesses](/businesses/service-area-businesses)).
- **Agencies and multi-location brands** managing several Google profiles from one account.

## What it does not do

- It never changes, hides or deletes anything on Google. Your reviews stay exactly where they are.
- It does not write, edit or invent reviews. Every review shown is a real Google review with its author's name.
- It does not track your website visitors or set cookies. See [privacy for your visitors](/account/visitor-privacy).

> **Tip:** Want to see it before signing up? Open the [live playground](https://reviewpine.com/playground) and try every design option on sample reviews.

# Quick start: Google reviews on your website in 5 minutes

This guide takes you from nothing to a live widget. You need your business's Google Maps link and access to edit your website.

1. **Create your account.** Go to [https://app.reviewpine.com/register](https://app.reviewpine.com/register) and enter your name and email. We email you a 6-digit code; enter it and you are in. There is no password to remember.
2. **Add your business.** Open your listing on Google Maps, tap **Share** and **Copy link**, then paste the link into **Add a business** and click **Find my business**. Check the name and click **This is my business**.
3. **Wait a moment while reviews import.** Your newest reviews usually arrive within a minute or two, and the rest follow in the background. You can carry on as soon as the first ones are in.
4. **Choose a widget.** Pick a ready-made layout from the gallery. Use the **Layout**, **Style** and **Theme** filters to narrow the choice, then click **Use this widget**.
5. **Make it yours.** In the customiser, adjust colours, font, header and which reviews show. Click **Save & publish**.
6. **Copy the embed code.** Click **Copy embed** at the bottom of the customiser (or **Copy code** on Manage Widgets).
7. **Paste it into your website** where the reviews should appear, then publish your page. Follow the guide for your platform: [WordPress](/install/wordpress), [Shopify](/install/shopify), [Wix](/install/wix), [Squarespace](/install/squarespace), [Webflow](/install/webflow) or [any other website](/install/any-website).

That is it. Open your website and the reviews are there.

> **Good to know:** You only paste the code once. When you later change the design in the customiser and save, your website updates by itself.

## What next?

- [Get more Google reviews](/businesses/get-more-google-reviews) with your review link.
- [Choose which reviews show](/widgets/choose-which-reviews-show), for example 4 stars and up, or pin your favourites.
- Before your free trial ends, [choose a plan](/billing/plans-and-pricing) so your widget keeps showing reviews.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/getting-started/quick-start

---

# How the free trial works

Every new account starts with a **7-day free trial**. You get every feature, every layout and the full customiser. No card or payment details are needed.

## What the trial includes

- **One business.** Add your Google Business Profile and import its reviews.
- **Unlimited widgets** (fair use) for that business, in any layout.
- **The full customiser**, the dashboard and the embed code, exactly as on a paid plan.

A few things are reserved for paid plans: adding more than one business, daily automatic review updates, refreshing reviews on demand, and removing businesses from your account.

## Rules that keep the trial fair

- The free trial is available **once per Google business listing**. If a business has already had a trial, it cannot start another one, even from a different account.
- A business added during the trial stays on your account. Double-check you are adding the right listing before you confirm.

## When the trial ends

If you have not chosen a plan, your widget **does not disappear with an error**. It shows a small notice in place of your reviews until you purchase a plan. Your account, business, widget designs and embed code are all kept, so nothing needs to be set up again.

As soon as you purchase a plan, your widget shows reviews again. You do not need to change the code on your website.

> **Tip:** Choose a plan a few days before the trial ends so your visitors never see the notice. Billing shows exactly how many days are left.

# Create an account and sign in

ReviewPine uses **passwordless sign-in**. Instead of a password, we email you a one-time code each time you sign in. There is nothing to remember and nothing that can leak.

## Create your account

1. Go to [https://app.reviewpine.com/register](https://app.reviewpine.com/register).
2. Enter your full name and the email address you want to use.
3. Check your inbox for a **6-digit code** and enter it on the screen.

Your account is ready and your free trial starts when you add your first business.

## Sign in later

1. Go to [https://app.reviewpine.com/login](https://app.reviewpine.com/login) and enter your email.
2. Enter the 6-digit code we send you.

## About the codes

- Each code **expires after 10 minutes** and works only once.
- You can ask for a new code after about a minute.
- After several wrong attempts the code stops working. Request a fresh one.
- Nobody can sign in without the code, so if you receive a code you did not ask for, you can safely ignore it.

> **Note:** Not getting the email? See [sign-in code not arriving](/troubleshooting/sign-in-code-not-arriving).

# Your dashboard explained

The **Dashboard** is the first page you see after signing in. Everything on it is worked out from your Google reviews. It does not track your website visitors.

## Choosing a business

If you have more than one business, use the selector at the top to switch between **All businesses** and any single business. Every number on the page updates instantly.

## What each part shows

| Section | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| **Google rating** | Your overall star rating and total review count, as shown on Google. |
| **New reviews** | Reviews received in the last 30 days, compared with the 30 days before. |
| **Happy customers** | The share of reviews that are 4 or 5 stars. |
| **Written reviews** | The share of reviews that include text, not just stars. |
| **Review momentum** | A 12-month chart of how many reviews arrived each month and their average rating. |
| **Rating mix** | How your reviews split across 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 star. |
| **Topics** | Words customers use most in happy reviews, and in critical ones. Works for English and Hindi reviews. |
| **Spotlight** | A strong recent 5-star review, ideal to pin in a widget or share. |
| **Needs attention** | Recent reviews of 3 stars or less, so you can reply on Google. |
| **Leaderboard** | With several businesses, how each one compares. |

> **Good to know:** The headline rating and total come straight from Google. Charts such as the rating mix are based on the newest reviews held in your account, and the page says how many.

## Before your first widget

Until you have a widget, the dashboard also shows a short **How it works** guide with the next step to take.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/getting-started/your-dashboard

# Try the customiser without an account

Not sure which design suits your site? The **[playground](https://reviewpine.com/playground)** is a full copy of the customiser that runs on sample reviews. You do not need an account and nothing you do there is saved.

## What you can try

- Every layout: Slider, Grid, List, Sidebar and Badge.
- Light and dark themes, card styles, colours, fonts and corners.
- Different sample businesses, including reviews in English and Hindi.
- **Desktop**, **Tablet** and **Phone** previews to see how the widget adapts to each screen.

You can also browse every ready-made design in the [widget gallery](https://reviewpine.com/widgets) and open any of them in the playground with **Customise it**.

## Moving to your real reviews

When you like what you see, [start your free trial](https://app.reviewpine.com/register), add your business and choose the same layout in the app. Your widget then shows your own Google reviews.

# Add your business

A "business" in ReviewPine is one Google Business Profile, the listing people see on Google Maps and in Google Search. Its reviews power every widget you make for it.

## Before you start

You need your listing's **Google Maps link**. It takes about 20 seconds to get; see [find your Google Maps link](/businesses/find-your-google-maps-link).

You do **not** need to sign in to Google or give us access to your Google account. We only read your public reviews.

## Steps

1. In your account, open **Your Business** and click **Add a business** (or use the prompt on the dashboard).
2. Paste your Google Maps link into the box and click **Find my business**.
3. Check the name we found. If it is right, click **This is my business**.
4. Stay on the progress page for a moment. Your newest reviews usually arrive within a minute or two, then you move straight on to choosing a widget.

The rest of your review history keeps importing in the background. You can safely leave the page at any time; the import carries on and the business appears on **Your Business** when it finishes.

## Which links work

- Short share links such as `maps.app.goo.gl/…`
- Full Google Maps links such as `google.com/maps/place/…`
- A Google **Place ID** (it starts with `ChIJ`)

If your link is not recognised, see [my Google Maps link is not recognised](/troubleshooting/maps-link-not-recognised).

## Good to know

- **Free trial:** your first business starts a 7-day trial. The trial is available once per listing.
- **Paid plans** can add as many businesses as the plan covers; see [plans and pricing](/billing/plans-and-pricing).
- Your business name comes from Google. If you rename your listing on Google, the new name appears after your next [refresh](/businesses/refresh-reviews).
- Adding a business never changes anything on Google.

---

# Find your Google Maps link

Your Google Maps link points to your business listing. You can copy it from the Google Maps app or from a computer.

## On your phone (Google Maps app)

1. Open **Google Maps** and search for your business name.
2. Tap your listing to open it.
3. Tap **Share**, then **Copy link**.
4. Paste the link into **Add a business** in ReviewPine.

## On a computer

1. Go to [google.com/maps](https://www.google.com/maps) and search for your business name.
2. Click your listing so its details open on the left.
3. Click **Share** and then **Copy link**, or simply copy the full address from your browser's address bar.
4. Paste it into **Add a business**.

## Accepted formats

| Format | Example |
|---|---|
| Short share link | `https://maps.app.goo.gl/Xy7Qd2…` |
| Full Maps link | `https://www.google.com/maps/place/Your+Business/…` |
| Place ID | `ChIJ…` |

> **Tip:** Make sure you open **your own listing** before copying, not a search results page. A link to a list of results cannot point to one business.

## Can't find your listing?

If your business does not appear on Google Maps at all, it may not have a Google Business Profile yet, or it may be hidden because it serves customers at their location. See [service-area businesses](/businesses/service-area-businesses).

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/businesses/find-your-google-maps-link

---

# Businesses without a public address

Many businesses serve customers at their location and choose to hide their address on Google, for example electricians, home tutors, caterers, cleaners and consultants. Google calls these **service-area businesses**.

ReviewPine works for them exactly as it does for shops:

- You add them with the same Google Maps link.
- Their reviews import and display normally.
- The "Write a review" button still opens Google's review form for the business.

## What is different

- **No address is shown** on **Your Business**, because Google does not publish one.
- The link to your listing opens it on Google Maps rather than a street location.

## Getting the link

Search for the business name in Google Maps, open the listing and copy its share link as usual. If the listing does not appear in Maps, search the business name in Google Search, open its profile panel, and use **Share** from there.

# How review importing works

When you confirm a business, ReviewPine starts importing its public Google reviews.

## Two quick stages

1. **Newest reviews first.** A small batch of your most recent reviews is fetched first, usually within a minute or two. As soon as it lands you can choose a widget and design with your real reviews.
2. **Full history in the background.** Your older reviews keep importing while you work. When they are in, your widgets update by themselves.

While this happens, **Your Business** shows the status **Importing reviews**. You can close the page; nothing is lost.

## What is imported

- The reviewer's name and profile photo, as shown on Google.
- The star rating, the review text and when it was posted.
- Your overall Google rating and total review count.
- Your listing's address, when Google shows one.

Widgets show your most recent reviews, up to several hundred per business, which is far more than any visitor scrolls through.

## Languages

Reviews are shown **in the language they were written**, including Hindi and other Indian languages. Right-to-left scripts display correctly too. You can also set the widget's own buttons and labels to English or Hindi; see [widget language](/widgets/widget-language).

## If nothing arrives

If Google has no reviews for the listing, the import finishes without reviews and you will see a clear message with a **Try again** button. See [no reviews found](/troubleshooting/no-reviews-found).

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/businesses/importing-reviews

---

# Keep your reviews up to date

Your widgets show the reviews held in your ReviewPine account. When customers post new reviews on Google, they reach your widgets in two ways.

## Automatic daily updates

On every paid plan, ReviewPine checks each business covered by your plan **every day** and adds any new reviews. Your widgets update by themselves. There is nothing to switch on and nothing to re-install.

## Refresh a business now

Want a brand-new review to show straight away? On a paid plan you can also fetch the latest reviews for any business **once a day**:

1. Open **Your Business**.
2. Click the **refresh** icon next to the business.
3. New reviews arrive within a minute or two and your widgets update by themselves.

After a refresh the icon is greyed out, and hovering over it tells you when it is available again.

## What a refresh updates

- New reviews, added at the top.
- Changes to recent reviews, such as edited text.
- Your Google rating, total review count, business name and address.

## Good to know

- **Daily updates and refresh are part of paid plans.** During the free trial you design with the reviews imported when you added the business.
- Your widget designs and embed codes are never affected by a refresh.
- If a refresh cannot finish, your current reviews keep showing and you can try again.
- Deleted or hidden reviews on Google disappear from your widgets over time as your review history is refreshed.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/businesses/refresh-reviews

# Manage several businesses

One ReviewPine account can hold several businesses, each with its own reviews and widgets.

## How many businesses you can add

| Plan | Businesses | Price (US dollars) |
|---|---|---|
| **Starter** | 1 | $19 per year |
| **Growth** | Up to 5 | $49 per year |
| **Agency** | Up to 25 | $129 per year |

Every plan includes every feature and **unlimited widgets** (fair use) for each business. See [plans and pricing](/billing/plans-and-pricing).

## Adding another business

Open **Your Business** and click **Add a business**. If your plan is full, you will be offered an upgrade; your current businesses stay covered, and any unused time on your current plan is credited ([how upgrades work](/billing/upgrade-your-plan)).

## Working with several businesses

- **Dashboard:** switch between **All businesses** and each single business at the top.
- **Manage Widgets:** filter by business with the buttons under the title.
- **Your Business:** see every business's rating, review mix, a recent review and its widgets in one place.

## For agencies

Add each client's business to your account and create as many widgets as each site needs. Invoices are issued to your account's billing details, including your GSTIN if you add one.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/businesses/multiple-businesses

---

# Remove a business

Removing a business deletes it and all its widgets from your account.

## Steps

1. Open **Your Business**.
2. Click the **bin** icon next to the business.
3. Confirm with **Remove business**.

## What happens

- Every widget for that business is deleted.
- Anywhere those widgets are embedded, visitors see a small "expired or removed" notice instead of reviews. Remove the embed code from your website as well.
- Nothing changes on Google.
- **Widgets cannot be brought back.** To show the business again, add it again and create new widgets. If you re-add it within 30 days, its reviews come back straight away.

## Who can remove businesses

Removing businesses is available **once you have purchased a plan**, including after a plan has ended (so you can fit a smaller plan). Businesses added during the free trial stay on the account.

> **Tip:** Want to hide a widget from your site without deleting the business? Simply remove the embed code from that page, or [delete just that widget](/widgets/rename-or-delete-a-widget).

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/businesses/remove-a-business

---

# Get more Google reviews

More recent reviews make every widget more convincing. ReviewPine gives you two easy ways to collect them.

## 1. Share your review link

Every business has a Google **review link** that opens the "write a review" form directly.

1. Open **Your Business**.
2. Click the **link** icon next to the business. The review link is copied.
3. Send it to customers on WhatsApp, SMS or email, or add it to your invoices and receipts.

You can also copy it from the **Dashboard**.

## 2. Turn on the "Write a review" button

Your widget can show a **Write a review** button that opens the same Google form. Visitors who already love you can add a review in two taps. See [the Write a review button](/widgets/write-a-review-button).

## When to ask

- Right after a successful visit, delivery or finished job, when the experience is fresh.
- In person, with a simple "It would really help us if you could share this on Google".
- With a short follow-up message a day later.

> **Important:** Google's policies do not allow offering discounts, gifts or payment in exchange for reviews, or asking only happy customers. Ask everyone, and reply to every review, good or bad.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/businesses/get-more-google-reviews

---

# Create a widget

A widget is one design of your reviews that you can place on your website. Each business can have **unlimited widgets** (fair use), for example a slider on the home page and a badge in the footer.

## Steps

1. Open **Manage Widgets** and click **Create a widget** (with several businesses, choose which one it is for). You can also use **Create a widget** on **Your Business**.
2. The gallery shows every ready-made design **with your own reviews**. Narrow it down with the filters:
   - **Layout:** Slider, Grid, List, Sidebar or Badge.
   - **Style:** how the review cards look.
   - **Theme:** light or dark.
3. Click a design to see it full size, then click **Use this widget**.
4. The customiser opens. Adjust anything you like and click **Save & publish**. Until you do, the widget is **not published yet**: it doesn't appear on **Manage Widgets** and has no embed code, and leaving the customiser discards it.
5. Copy the embed code and [add it to your website](/install/get-your-embed-code).

> **Tip:** Not sure which layout to pick? Read [which layout should I use?](/widgets/widget-layouts).

## Naming your widget

Click the widget name at the top of the customiser to rename it, for example "Home page slider". Names are only for you; visitors never see them.

## Before you can create a widget

A widget needs reviews to show. If your business is still importing, wait for the first reviews to arrive. If the import found no reviews, see [no reviews found](/troubleshooting/no-reviews-found).

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/widgets/create-a-widget

---

# Which layout should I use?

Every plan includes every layout, each in light and dark. Here is where each one shines.

| Layout | What it looks like | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| **Slider** | A row of review cards visitors can swipe or scroll with arrows. | Home pages and landing pages, just below the hero. |
| **Grid** | Cards in neat columns, with a **Load more** button. | A dedicated "Reviews" or "Testimonials" page. |
| **List** | One review per row, full width, easy to read. | Service pages, long pages, and mobile-first sites. |
| **Sidebar** | A compact box that shows one review at a time with previous and next buttons. | Sidebars, blog pages, next to contact forms. |
| **Badge** | Your Google rating, stars and review count in a small badge. | Headers, footers, checkout and booking pages. |

## Tips

- **Short on space?** Use the Badge or Sidebar. They say "trusted" without taking over the page.
- **Many great reviews?** A Grid or List on its own page lets visitors read as much as they want.
- **Selling on the home page?** A Slider shows several reviews at a glance and works well on phones.
- You can [switch layout](/widgets/change-layout) later without changing the embed code on your website.

Want to compare them live? Open the [widget gallery](https://reviewpine.com/widgets) or the [playground](https://reviewpine.com/playground).

# Customise your widget: every option explained

Open any widget from **Manage Widgets** with **Customise**. Changes show in the live preview immediately; click **Save & publish** to put them on your website. Use the **Desktop** and **Mobile** buttons above the preview to check both.

## Style: cards, colours and theme

| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| **Card style** | *Standard* (soft shadow), *Bordered* (thin outline) or *Tonal* (tinted background). |
| **Appearance** | *Light*, *Dark*, or *Auto*, which follows each visitor's device setting. |
| **Card shadow** | Turns the card shadow on or off. |
| **Font** | *System default*, *Match my website* (uses your site's own font) or a classic font such as Arial, Georgia or Trebuchet MS. |
| **Card background, Review text, Border** | Colours for the cards. With *Auto* appearance you set a light and a dark version. |
| **Accent colour** | Buttons and links, for example **Write a review**. |
| **Star colour** | The colour of the rating stars. |
| **"Reviews on Google as of …" text** | The colour of the attribution line, which shows when your reviews were last synced. *A* matches your text automatically. |
| **Corners** | From square to fully rounded. |
| **Density** | *Comfortable* or *Compact* spacing. |

More detail: [colours, fonts and dark mode](/widgets/colours-fonts-dark-mode).

## Header: rating summary and button

- **Show header** turns the rating summary on or off.
- **Position:** *Top bar* above the reviews, or *Badge left* beside them.
- **Business name** and **Review count** can each be shown or hidden.
- **"Write a review" button**; see [the Write a review button](/widgets/write-a-review-button).

## Review cards

Show or hide **Reviewer photos**, **Dates** and the **Verified tick** on each card.

## Size

- **Limit width** keeps the widget at a maximum width and centres it on wider pages.
- **Limit height** caps the height; reviews scroll inside when they do not fit.

## Slider (Slider layout only)

- **Reviews per view:** *Auto* adapts to the screen, or choose 1 to 6.
- **Arrows:** *Below* the cards or on the *Sides*.
- **Page dots** and **Auto-play** on or off.

## Reviews shown

Minimum rating, sort order, minimum review length, maximum number of reviews and pinned reviews. See [choose which reviews show](/widgets/choose-which-reviews-show).

## Language and advanced

- **Widget language:** English or हिन्दी for the widget's own labels and buttons.
- **Custom CSS** for fine-tuning; see [custom CSS](/widgets/custom-css).

> **Good to know:** Saved changes go live on every page where the widget is embedded. You never need to copy the code again.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/widgets/customise-your-widget

---

# Colours, fonts and dark mode

All of these options live in the **Style** section of the customiser.

## Light, dark or automatic

- **Light** and **Dark** fix the theme.
- **Auto** follows each visitor's device setting, so the widget is dark for visitors using dark mode and light for everyone else.

With **Auto**, choose **Editing colours for: Light mode / Dark mode** to set separate card, text and border colours for each theme.

## Your brand colours

- **Card background**, **Review text** and **Border**: pick a swatch or any custom colour.
- **Accent colour** is used for buttons and links.
- **Star colour** defaults to Google's familiar yellow, and can match your brand.

> **Tip:** Keep strong contrast between the review text and the card background so every visitor can read comfortably.

## Fonts

- **Match my website** uses the font your website already has. The widget blends in perfectly and nothing extra is downloaded.
- **System default** uses each device's standard font, which is crisp and fast everywhere.
- **Classic fonts** such as Arial, Verdana, Tahoma, Trebuchet MS, Georgia, Times New Roman and Palatino are available on nearly every device.

Fonts are never downloaded from other services, which keeps your page fast.

## Corners, shadow and spacing

Use **Corners** to go from square to round, **Card shadow** for depth, and **Density** for tighter or more relaxed spacing.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/widgets/colours-fonts-dark-mode

---

# Choose which reviews show

Open **Reviews shown** in the customiser.

## Minimum rating

Show **All ratings**, or only **3★ and up**, **4★ and up** or **5★ only**.

## Sort by

- **Most recent**: newest first, which shows your business is active today.
- **Highest rated**: best reviews first.
- **Lowest rated**: useful internally, rarely on a live site.

## Minimum review length

Hide star-only ratings and very short reviews:

- **Any (incl. rating-only)**
- **Has text**
- **50+**, **100+** or **200+ characters**

## Max reviews

Show everything, or cap the widget at 3, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 or 500 reviews.

## Pinned reviews

Pinned reviews **always show first**, in the order you pin them, whatever the other settings.

1. Search by reviewer name or words in the review.
2. Click the pin next to the reviews you want to feature.
3. Pinned reviews appear in the order you pin them. To change the order, unpin and pin again. You can pin up to 10.

> **Tip:** Pin two or three detailed reviews that mention what you want new customers to know, for example "on time", "clean" or "great value".

## A note on honesty

Filtering helps you show your most helpful reviews. Every review shown is a real Google review, and the widget always links back to Google, where visitors can read them all.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/widgets/choose-which-reviews-show

---

# The "Write a review" button

The **Write a review** button opens Google's own review form for your business in a new tab. Visitors who already use your services can post a review without searching for you.

## Turn it on or off

1. Open the widget in the customiser.
2. In **Header**, switch **"Write a review" button** on or off.
3. Click **Save & publish**.

The button uses your **Accent colour**, which you can change under **Style**.

## Where it points

The button always goes to Google, never to a page of ours, so reviews are posted directly to your Google Business Profile.

For a few businesses without a public address, Google does not offer a direct form. The button then opens your listing, where visitors can tap **Write a review**.

## Share the same link elsewhere

The same link is available on **Your Business** (the link icon) so you can send it on WhatsApp or add it to receipts. See [get more Google reviews](/businesses/get-more-google-reviews).

# Widget language and review languages

## The widget's labels

Words such as "Based on 132 reviews", "Write a review" and "Load more" can be shown in **English** or **हिन्दी**:

1. Open the widget in the customiser.
2. Go to **Language & advanced** and choose **Widget language**.
3. Click **Save & publish**.

## The reviews themselves

Reviews are always shown **in the language they were written**. A review written in Hindi, Tamil or Marathi appears exactly as the customer wrote it. Right-to-left scripts such as Urdu display in the correct direction automatically.

Dates such as "2 weeks ago" follow the widget language.

## Tip for multilingual sites

Create two widgets, one with English labels and one with Hindi labels, and place each on the matching version of your site.

# Change the layout of a widget

You can move any widget to a different ready-made design and keep the same embed code.

1. Open the widget in the customiser.
2. Click **Change layout** at the top.
3. Pick the new design in the gallery and click **Use this one**. Use **Back to the customiser** to cancel.
4. Review your settings and click **Save & publish**.

Your website updates by itself. There is no need to copy the code again.

> **Good to know:** Layout-specific settings, for example the slider's arrows and auto-play, only apply to the layouts that use them.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/widgets/change-layout

---

# Rename or delete a widget

## Rename

Open the widget in the customiser, click its name at the top, type a new one and click **Save & publish**. Names are only visible to you.

## Delete

1. Open **Manage Widgets**.
2. Click the **bin** icon next to the widget.
3. Confirm with **Delete widget**.

Anywhere that widget is still embedded, visitors see a small "expired or removed" notice instead of reviews. **Remove the embed code from your website** too.

Deleting a widget cannot be undone, but you can create a new one at any time. Other widgets for the same business are not affected.

# Custom CSS for advanced styling

If the built-in options are not quite enough, add your own CSS under **Language & advanced → Custom CSS** in the customiser.

## How it works

- Your CSS applies **only inside the widget**. It cannot change anything else on your page, and your website's styles cannot accidentally break the widget.
- Changes show in the live preview. Click **Save & publish** to apply them.

## Example

```css
.rw-card { border-radius: 4px; }
```

## Tips

- Try the built-in options first. They cover colours, fonts, corners, spacing and sizes, and they keep working when we improve the layouts.
- Keep rules short and specific.
- If something looks wrong after adding CSS, clear the box and save to return to the standard design.

# Get your embed code

Every widget has its own **embed code**: a single line that you paste into your website.

## Where to copy it

- **Manage Widgets:** click **Copy code** next to the widget.
- **Customiser:** click **Copy embed** in the bar at the bottom. A new widget gets its embed code after its first **Save & publish**.

You will see "Copied ✓" when it is on your clipboard.

## What it looks like

```html
<script src="https://cdn.example.com/widget.v1.js" data-widget-id="wgt_abc123" data-layout="carousel" async></script>
```

Your real code has your own widget id. Always use the **Copy** button rather than selecting the text by hand, so nothing is cut off.

## Where to paste it

Paste it exactly where the reviews should appear on the page, inside the page body. Then follow the guide for your platform:

- [WordPress](/install/wordpress)
- [Shopify](/install/shopify)
- [Wix](/install/wix)
- [Squarespace](/install/squarespace)
- [Webflow](/install/webflow)
- [Any other website or HTML page](/install/any-website)

## Paste once, update forever

The code always loads your latest saved design and reviews. When you change the widget in the customiser and click **Save & publish**, every page that has the code updates by itself.

# Add a review widget to WordPress

You do not need a plugin. WordPress's built-in **Custom HTML** block is all it takes.

## Block editor (Gutenberg)

1. In ReviewPine, click **Copy code** next to your widget on **Manage Widgets**.
2. In WordPress, open the page or post and click **+** where the reviews should go.
3. Search for **Custom HTML** and add the block.
4. Paste the code into the block.
5. Click **Update** (or **Publish**). Open the page to see your reviews.

## Elementor

1. Drag the **HTML** widget onto the page.
2. Paste the code into its content box.
3. Click **Update**.

## Other page builders and themes

Most builders (Divi, WPBakery, Beaver Builder, Astra and others) have an **HTML**, **Code** or **Embed** element. Add it where the reviews should appear and paste the code.

## Show it on every page

To place a badge or slider site-wide, add a **Custom HTML** block to a footer or sidebar widget area (**Appearance → Widgets**), or to your theme's footer template in the Site Editor.

> **Note:** On WordPress.com, adding scripts requires a plan that allows plugins or custom code. Self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org) works on any plan.

# The ReviewPine WordPress plugin

The ReviewPine plugin lists your widgets inside WordPress and gives each one a **shortcode** you can paste anywhere.

## Set it up

1. In WordPress, go to **Plugins → Add New**, search for **ReviewPine**, then **Install** and **Activate**.
2. Open **ReviewPine** in the admin menu.
3. New to ReviewPine? Click **Create a free account**. It opens our website in a new tab: sign up, add your business and create a widget.
4. Back in WordPress, click **Connect ReviewPine**, then **Allow and connect**.
5. Next to the widget you want, click **Copy**.
6. Paste the shortcode into a **Shortcode** block, your page builder's shortcode element, or a text widget. Update the page.

## Making changes

Design your widgets on ReviewPine. Saved changes appear on your website by themselves. If you create a new widget, click **Refresh** on the plugin page to see it.

## What the connection can do

Connecting only lets your website **see your widget names and shortcodes**. It can't change your widgets, businesses, reviews or billing.

## Disconnect

Click **Disconnect** on the plugin page, or in ReviewPine open **Your account → Connected sites** and click **Remove**. Shortcodes already on your pages keep working.

## Statuses

- **Live:** the widget is showing reviews.
- **Default:** the widget that stays live on the [Free plan](/billing/free-plan).
- **Offline:** your plan or trial ended. [Choose a plan](/billing/when-a-plan-ends) to bring it back.

Prefer not to use a plugin? Paste the embed code instead: see [Add a review widget to WordPress](/install/wordpress).

# Add a review widget to Shopify

## Add it to a page with the theme editor

1. In ReviewPine, click **Copy code** next to your widget.
2. In Shopify admin, go to **Online Store → Themes** and click **Customize**.
3. Choose the page at the top (for example **Home page** or **Default product**).
4. Click **Add section** (or **Add block**) and choose **Custom Liquid**.
5. Paste the code into the **Liquid code** box.
6. Drag the section to where the reviews should appear, then click **Save**.

## Show it in the footer on every page

Add the **Custom Liquid** section to the **Footer** group in the theme editor and paste the code there.

## Tips

- A **Badge** or **Slider** works well near the "Add to cart" button or above the footer.
- If you switch themes later, add the section again in the new theme.

# Add a review widget to Wix

1. In ReviewPine, click **Copy code** next to your widget.
2. In the Wix Editor, click **Add Elements (+)** → **Embed Code** → **Embed HTML**.
3. Click **Enter Code**, choose **Code**, and paste the code.
4. Click **Update**.
5. Drag and resize the box to fit where the reviews should appear. Make it tall enough for the layout you chose.
6. **Publish** your site.

## Tips

- Wix shows embedded code inside a frame. If the reviews look cut off, make the embed box taller or set a **Limit height** in the customiser so reviews scroll inside.
- For a site-wide badge, place the embed in the footer and choose **Show on all pages**.
- Wix Studio works the same way with its **Embed HTML** element.

---

# Add a review widget to Squarespace

1. In ReviewPine, click **Copy code** next to your widget.
2. In Squarespace, edit the page and click **Add block** (or an insert point) where the reviews should go.
3. Choose **Code**.
4. Paste the code, make sure the mode is **HTML**, and turn off **Display source**.
5. Click outside the block and **Save** the page.

> **Note:** Code blocks with scripts need a Squarespace plan that allows custom code (Business plan or higher on most plans). If the block shows "Script disabled" while editing, preview or publish the page to see the widget.

---

# Add a review widget to Webflow

1. In ReviewPine, click **Copy code** next to your widget.
2. In the Webflow Designer, open **Add (+)** and drag a **Code Embed** element onto the page.
3. Paste the code and click **Save & Close**.
4. **Publish** your site. Custom code runs on the published site, not inside the Designer canvas.

For a site-wide badge, put the Code Embed inside a **Symbol/Component** such as your footer.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/install/webflow

---

# Add a review widget to any website

The widget is one `<script>` tag, so it works anywhere you can add HTML.

## Plain HTML

1. Click **Copy code** next to your widget.
2. Open the page's HTML and paste the code **inside the `<body>`**, exactly where the reviews should appear.
3. Save and upload or publish the page.

```html
<section>
  <h2>What our customers say</h2>
  <script src="https://cdn.example.com/widget.v1.js" data-widget-id="wgt_abc123" data-layout="carousel" async></script>
</section>
```

## Website builders

Look for an element called **HTML**, **Embed**, **Custom code** or **Code block**, add it where the reviews should go and paste the code. This works in Framer, Ghost, Zoho Sites, Hostinger, GoDaddy and most other builders.

## Apps built with JavaScript frameworks

In React, Next.js, Vue and similar frameworks, create the script element after the page mounts inside a container element, rather than pasting the tag into JSX. The widget appears where the script is placed.

## Passing it to a developer

Send your developer the code and the page where it should appear. It needs nothing else: no API keys, no plugins and no setup.

## Checklist

- The code is in the **body**, not the `<head>` and not inside an HTML comment.
- The page is **published**; some builders only run scripts on the live site.
- The line is complete, ending with `</script>`.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/install/any-website

# Show more than one widget on a page

You can place as many widgets on one page as you like. Paste each widget's code where it should appear.

## Good combinations

- A **Badge** in the header or near a booking button, plus a **Slider** further down the page.
- A **Slider** on the home page and a **Grid** on a dedicated reviews page.
- Different businesses on the same page, for example one widget per branch.

Each widget loads on its own and only when a visitor scrolls near it, so extra widgets do not slow the top of your page.

> **Tip:** Using the same widget twice? You can paste the same code in two places. To show different reviews in each, create two widgets with different settings.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/install/multiple-widgets-on-one-page

# Page speed and SEO

Review widgets are often the heaviest thing on a small business website. This one is designed not to be.

## Why it stays fast

- **Tiny:** the widget's code is a small fraction of a typical web page, and it is served from a global network close to your visitors.
- **Loaded in the background:** the `async` script never blocks your page from displaying.
- **Only when needed:** the widget waits until a visitor scrolls near it before loading your reviews.
- **No layout jumps:** space is reserved before the reviews arrive, so your page does not shift (good for Core Web Vitals).
- **No extra fonts:** it uses your website's font or the device's built-in fonts.

## SEO

- Your page's speed scores stay intact, which matters for Google rankings.
- Real customer reviews on your pages build trust and keep visitors engaged.

> **Note:** Google does not show review stars in search results for reviews a business displays about itself, whatever tool shows them. We do not add review stars markup, so your site stays within Google's guidelines.

# Plans and pricing

Every plan includes **every feature**: all widget layouts, the full customiser, unlimited widgets (fair use), the dashboard, new reviews added automatically every day, on-demand review refresh and GST invoices. Plans differ only in **how many businesses** they cover.

| Plan | Businesses | Price (US dollars) |
|---|---|---|
| **Starter** | 1 | $19 per year |
| **Growth** | Up to 5 | $49 per year |
| **Agency** | Up to 25 | $129 per year |

**In India**, prices are in Indian rupees and **include 18% GST**, and you get a GST tax invoice for every payment. **Outside India**, prices are in US dollars and you pay through PayPal; see [paying from outside India](/billing/paying-from-outside-india).

## Billing basics

- **Yearly plans** renew automatically by autopay, so your widgets never go offline. You can [switch auto-renew off](/billing/cancel-auto-renew) at any time.
- **In India, pay by UPI, credit or debit card, or netbanking** through Razorpay. **Elsewhere, pay with PayPal or a card** through PayPal.
- **Start with a free trial** of 7 days for one business. No card needed.

## What does fair use mean?

Widgets are unlimited for normal use. Most businesses use two or three: a slider on the homepage, a badge in the footer, a grid on a reviews page. Fair use only stops automated or abusive mass creation that would slow the service down for everyone. If you ever need more, email support@reviewpine.com and we will raise it for you.

The same applies to swapping businesses. You can fill every business your plan covers straight away, and remove and replace businesses whenever you need to. Only very frequent removing and re-adding is paused under fair use, and support can lift it for you. Re-adding a business you removed in the last 30 days brings its reviews straight back.

## Which plan should I choose?

Pick the plan that covers the number of businesses you manage today. Every plan includes every feature, so the only question is how many Google Business Profiles you want to show reviews for.

You can [upgrade at any time](/billing/upgrade-your-plan); the unused part of your current plan is credited.

---

# Buy a plan

1. In your account, open **Billing & invoices** in the account menu (your initial, top right) and click **Purchase a plan**, or choose a plan from any upgrade prompt.
2. Pick your plan.
3. On the checkout page, check your **country**. It decides how you pay: businesses in India pay in rupees through Razorpay (steps below); everyone else pays in US dollars through PayPal (see [paying from outside India](/billing/paying-from-outside-india)). For India, enter:
   - Your **mobile number** (Indian numbers; +91 is filled in for you).
   - Your **billing address**: name, address (optional), city, state and PIN code. Your state decides whether the invoice shows CGST + SGST or IGST.
   - Optionally tick **I need a GST invoice for my business** and add your **GSTIN** and registered business name.
4. Click **Pay now**. A secure Razorpay window opens.
5. Choose **UPI**, **card** or **netbanking** and approve the yearly autopay.

When payment succeeds you see a confirmation page and your plan is active immediately.

## Is it secure?

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank login.

## After you pay

- Your widgets keep showing reviews without interruption.
- Your tax invoice is ready under **Billing** right away.
- The plan renews automatically once a year. You will see the next renewal date under **Billing**.

Payment did not go through? Nothing is charged for a failed payment; try again or use another method. See [payment problems](/billing/payment-problems).

# Paying from outside India

ReviewPine works for businesses everywhere. If your business is outside India, you pay in **US dollars** through **PayPal**.

## How to buy

1. Open **Billing & invoices** in the account menu and click **Purchase a plan**, then pick your plan.
2. On the checkout page, choose your **country**. The price switches to US dollars.
3. Enter your name and **billing address**. Your phone number is optional.
4. Optionally tick **Add my business name and VAT / tax number to the invoice**.
5. Click **Pay now**. You go to PayPal, log in (or pay with a card) and approve the **yearly auto-renewal**, then you come straight back.

Your plan is active as soon as you are back, and your invoice is under **Billing**.

## Good to know

- **Currency:** your account is billed in the currency of your first purchase. If you later move your business to or from India, [contact us](mailto:support@reviewpine.com) and we will move your billing.
- **Taxes:** no Indian GST is charged on purchases from outside India. Prices do not include taxes of your own country; if a sales tax or VAT applies where you are (for example under a reverse-charge rule for businesses), you account for it.
- **Invoices:** every payment gets an invoice in US dollars with your billing address and, if you add them, your business name and VAT or tax number.
- **Cancel anytime:** [switch auto-renew off](/billing/cancel-auto-renew) under **Billing**. You can also cancel the automatic payment in your PayPal account, but please switch it off in ReviewPine too.
- **Upgrades:** the unused part of your current plan is credited, often so that nothing is due today. PayPal then takes the first yearly payment on the date shown at checkout.
- **Security:** PayPal handles the payment. We never see or store your card details.

> **Note:** Businesses in India pay in rupees through Razorpay with a GST invoice. See [buy a plan](/billing/buy-a-plan).

# GST tax invoices and GSTIN

Every payment by a business **in India** comes with a **GST tax invoice**. Paying from outside India? Your invoice is in US dollars without Indian GST; see [paying from outside India](/billing/paying-from-outside-india).

## Download an invoice

1. Open **Billing**.
2. Under **Transactions**, click the invoice number next to the payment.
3. Download or print it as a PDF.

## Add your GSTIN

To claim **input tax credit**, add your business's GSTIN at checkout:

1. Tick **I need a GST invoice for my business**.
2. Enter your 15-character **GSTIN**. We check the format and check digit as you type and show the state it belongs to.
3. Enter your **registered business name** exactly as on your GST certificate. It is required whenever a GSTIN is entered.

Your GSTIN and business name then appear on your invoices.

## CGST + SGST or IGST?

The tax split depends on the **place of supply**:

- If your GSTIN (or, without a GSTIN, your billing state) is in the same state as ours, the invoice shows **CGST + SGST**.
- Otherwise it shows **IGST**.

The total you pay is the same either way, because plan prices include 18% GST.

> **Note:** Need a correction on an invoice, such as a missing GSTIN? Write to support@ainygo.com from your account email with the invoice number.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/billing/gst-invoices

---

# Upgrade your plan

Need more businesses? Upgrade at any time from **Billing → Change plan**, or from the prompt that appears when your plan is full.

## You never pay twice

The unused value of your current plan becomes **credit** towards the new one. On the plans page you see exactly how much credit you have and what happens next, for example:

> Upgrade today for nothing. Your credit covers 105 days. Then the new yearly price from the date shown.

Your new plan is active **immediately**, your current plan ends the same day, and there is no double billing.

## Nothing to pay today?

When your credit covers the first part of the new plan, nothing is due today. You approve the new plan in PayPal, and PayPal takes the first yearly payment on the date shown at checkout.

## Upgrading after switching auto-renew off

If you switched auto-renew off but your plan has not ended yet, you still get credit for the remaining time when you upgrade.

## Downgrading

Moving to a smaller plan is possible **when your current plan ends**, once your businesses fit the smaller plan. See [move to a smaller plan](/billing/move-to-a-smaller-plan).

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/billing/upgrade-your-plan

---

# Cancel auto-renew

You can switch off auto-renew at any time, with no calls and no forms.

## Steps

1. Open **Billing**.
2. Under **Current plan**, click **Cancel auto-renew**.
3. Confirm with **Turn off auto-renew**.

## What happens next

- Your plan **stays active until the end of the period you paid for**. The end date is shown under **Billing**.
- Your widgets keep showing reviews until then.
- No further payments are taken.
- After the end date, your widgets show a small notice instead of reviews until you renew. Your businesses, designs and embed codes are all kept.
- We email you 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before the end date.

## Changed your mind?

From **Billing** you can **Turn auto-renew back on** (nothing is charged until your end date) or **Renew now** with a one-time payment. Either way the new year starts when the current one ends. See [renew your plan](/billing/renew-your-plan).

## Cancelling from your UPI app or bank

You can also cancel the autopay mandate from your UPI app or bank. Please switch auto-renew off in your account as well, so our records match.

> **Note:** Switching auto-renew off does not trigger a refund for the current period. See [refunds](/billing/refunds).

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/billing/cancel-auto-renew

---

# Renew your plan manually or turn auto-renew back on

You don't have to use autopay. There are two ways to keep your plan going, and you can switch between them at any time.

## Renew now (one-time payment)

Pay for one more year in a single payment. Nothing is charged automatically after that.

1. Open **Billing**.
2. Click **Renew now** (or **Renew early** if auto-renew is on, or **Renew for a year** if your plan has ended).
3. Check the plan, the new dates and the price, then click **Pay**.
4. Pay with UPI, card or netbanking (or PayPal outside India).

Your GST invoice appears under **Billing** straight away and is emailed to you.

**You never lose days.** The new year is added to the end of the period you have already paid for. If you renew 20 days early, your plan simply runs a year past its current end date.

**If auto-renew was on,** it is switched off once your payment goes through, so you are never charged twice. If you close the window or the payment fails, nothing changes.

**When Renew early is not shown:**

- In the last 3 days before an automatic renewal, because your plan is about to renew by itself.
- When your plan is already paid more than about 13 months ahead, for example after renewing early once. It comes back as your end date gets closer.

We email you 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before a one-time year ends, with a **Renew now** button.

## Turn auto-renew back on

If you switched auto-renew off, or you paid once, you can let us renew automatically again.

1. Open **Billing**.
2. Click **Turn auto-renew back on** (or **Turn on auto-renew** if you paid once).
3. In the Razorpay window, choose a card or UPI and approve the autopay (outside India, approve it on PayPal).
4. You're taken back to **Billing**, which shows **Auto-renew is on** and the date of your first payment.

**Nothing is charged for your plan today.** To set up autopay, Razorpay makes a small check, usually ₹5 on a card, and refunds it automatically. Your first automatic payment is on your current end date, then once a year.

**You keep every day you've paid for.** If you paid once until, say, 21 Mar 2028, autopay starts on 21 Mar 2028. Your one-time payment and its invoice stay under **Transactions**.

We email you 7 days before each automatic payment. You can switch auto-renew off again at any time and your plan still runs until its end date; see [cancel auto-renew](/billing/cancel-auto-renew).

> **Tip:** If the Razorpay window asks you to save your card, that is needed for automatic payments. If your bank page opens in a new window, allow pop-ups for this site.

## Changing plan at the same time

Renewing keeps your current plan. To move to a bigger plan, use **Upgrade**; the unused part of your current plan pays for the start of the new one. See [upgrade your plan](/billing/upgrade-your-plan).

> **Note:** Your billing details for the invoice come from your last checkout. If they need to change, contact support before you pay.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/billing/renew-your-plan

# The Free plan

When your free trial or a paid plan ends, you don't lose your widget. Your account moves to the **Free plan** and one widget keeps showing reviews on your website, at no cost.

## What the Free plan includes

- **One business and one widget.** Your **default widget** stays live. See [choosing your default widget](#choosing-your-default-widget).
- **Your 10 newest 4★ and 5★ reviews.** They are picked from all the reviews we imported for your business, not only the latest ones. If you have fewer than 10, the widget shows the ones you have. If you have none, the widget shows a small notice until you choose a plan.
- **Our standard design.** The layout you chose is kept (carousel, grid, list, badge or sidebar).
- **A small "Free widget by ReviewPine" link** above the reviews, on the right.
- **Reviews refreshed once a month.**

## What needs a paid plan

- All your reviews, not just 10
- Your own colours, fonts, filters and pinned reviews
- The **Write a review** button
- More widgets and more businesses
- Daily review updates and manual refresh
- No ReviewPine link

## Choosing your default widget

Your account has **one default widget**. It's the widget that stays live on the Free plan, so pick the one on your most important page.

1. Open **Widgets**.
2. Next to the widget you want, click **Make default**.

The default widget shows a **Default** tag. If you never choose, the first widget of your first business is the default.

You can change your default at any time. If you have several businesses, the Free plan keeps the business your default widget belongs to. While you're on the Free plan, you can only choose another widget of that same business; the new default goes live on your website straight away.

## Your other widgets

When your plan or trial ends, your other widgets go **offline**: visitors see a small notice instead of reviews. Offline widgets stay in your account for **30 days**, and you can see the removal date on the **Widgets** page. To edit them or make them live again, choose a plan within those 30 days. After that they are removed. Your default widget is never removed.

## Your design is saved

Your design and every business are kept. On the Free plan you can still edit your default widget; your own colours and settings are saved and go live when you choose a plan.

## Upgrading

Open **Billing** and choose a plan, or **Renew for a year** if you had a plan before. Your full design, all your reviews and every widget that hasn't been removed come back straight away. You don't need to change anything on your website.

> **Note:** The Free plan stays with the business it started with. To show a different business, choose a plan.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/billing/free-plan

---

# What happens when a plan or trial ends

## What your visitors see

**On the Free plan (the usual case):** one widget keeps showing your 10 newest 4★ and 5★ reviews with our standard design and a small link to us. See [the Free plan](/billing/free-plan). Your other widgets show the notice below.

When your free trial or plan ends without renewal, your widgets **do not break your page**. They show a small, polite notice in place of the reviews.

## What is kept

Your account, businesses and imported reviews. Your **default widget** is always kept. Your other widgets stay in your account, offline, for **30 days** and are then removed unless you choose a plan. To edit an offline widget or make it live again, choose a plan.

## How to bring reviews back

1. Open **Billing**.
2. Click **Renew for a year** to pay once, or **Choose a plan with auto-renew** (after a trial: **Purchase a plan**).
3. Complete the payment.

Your widgets show reviews again straight away. **You do not need to change the code on your website.**

## Avoid the gap

- During the trial, **Billing** shows how many days are left. Purchase before it ends and your widgets never blink.
- On a paid plan, keep auto-renew on. If a renewal payment fails, Razorpay retries for a while and your widgets keep working during that time; see [payment problems](/billing/payment-problems).
- Prefer not to use autopay? **Renew now** from **Billing** before the end date. The new year starts when the current one ends; see [renew your plan](/billing/renew-your-plan).

# Refunds

Because you can try the full service free first, yearly payments are generally **non-refundable once the plan period has started**, including when auto-renew is switched off part-way through the year.

## We refund in full when

- You were charged twice for the same period.
- A renewal was charged after you had switched auto-renew off in your account.
- We could not provide the service for a paid period through our own fault.

For anything else, write to us. We look at every request fairly and individually.

## How to request a refund

1. Email **support@ainygo.com** from your account's email address **within 30 days** of the charge.
2. Include your **invoice number** and the reason.

We reply within 3 working days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method and usually reach you within 5–7 working days, depending on your bank. A GST credit note is issued with every refund.

# Payment problems and failed renewals

## Payment failed at checkout

- **Nothing is charged** for a failed payment.
- Try again, or choose another method in the Razorpay window (UPI, card or netbanking).
- For UPI, approve the request in your UPI app before it times out.
- For cards, make sure online and recurring payments are enabled with your bank.

## Autopay renewal did not go through

If a yearly renewal fails, **Billing** shows **Payment retrying**. Razorpay retries your saved payment method automatically for a while, and **your widgets keep working** during this time.

To fix it:

- Make sure your UPI account or card is active and has enough balance or limit.
- Follow the link in Razorpay's mandate email to update your payment method, or
- Purchase the plan again from **Billing**.

## Money was deducted but the plan is not active

Payments can take a few minutes to confirm. Refresh **Billing** after a few minutes. If the plan is still not active, email **support@ainygo.com** with the payment reference from your bank or UPI app and we will sort it out quickly. Any duplicate charge is refunded in full.

# Move to a smaller plan

You cannot move to a smaller plan in the middle of a paid year, because you have already paid for the larger one. You can switch **when your current plan ends**.

1. Open **Billing** and click **Cancel auto-renew** so the current plan does not renew.
2. Before the end date, make sure your businesses fit the smaller plan. If needed, [remove the businesses](/businesses/remove-a-business) you no longer need.
3. When the plan has ended, open **Billing** and purchase the smaller plan.

Your remaining businesses, widgets and embed codes are kept, so your website shows reviews again as soon as the new plan is active.

# Change your sign-in email

1. Click your name at the top right and choose **Account**. A window opens on top of the page you are on.
2. Open the **Sign-in email** tab, enter your new address and click **Send codes**.
3. We send one code to your **current** email and another to your **new** email.
4. Enter both codes and click **Confirm new email**.

From then on you sign in with the new address, and invoices use it too.

## Why two codes?

It proves you control both addresses, so nobody can take over your account from a device that was left signed in.

## Changed your mind?

Click **Cancel this change** before confirming. Codes expire after a short time; request new ones if needed.

## Lost access to your old email?

Write to **support@reviewpine.com** from the new address, with your business name and the old address. We will verify ownership before making any change.

# Change your name

1. Click your name at the top right and choose **Account**. A window opens on top of the page you are on.
2. On the **Name** tab, edit **Full name**.
3. Click **Save name**.

The name on future invoices comes from the billing details you enter at checkout, so update those at your next purchase if needed.

# Privacy for your website visitors

The review widget is built to be **invisible to privacy law**, because it collects nothing.

## What the widget does not do

- It sets **no cookies**.
- It uses **no local storage** or similar browser storage.
- It does **not track** visitors, record clicks or build profiles.
- It does not load advertising or analytics code.

## What that means for you

- **No change to your cookie banner.** The widget needs no consent.
- **GDPR and UK GDPR (Europe and the UK):** the widget stores nothing on your visitors' devices, so it needs no cookie consent, and it collects no personal data from them for you to declare.
- **DPDP Act (India):** adding the widget creates no new personal-data obligations for you, because it collects no personal data from your visitors.
- **US state privacy laws (such as the CCPA):** nothing is sold or shared, and there is no tracking to opt out of.
- Visitors who click a reviewer's name or **Write a review** go to Google, where Google's own privacy policy applies.

## The reviews themselves

Reviews are public posts on Google. The widget shows each reviewer's public name, photo, rating and text as they appear on Google, and links back to Google.

# Your data and your rights

## What we keep

- **Your account:** name and sign-in email.
- **Billing details** you enter at checkout: mobile number, billing address and optional GSTIN, plus your payments and invoices.
- **Your businesses** and the public Google reviews imported for them, and your widget designs.

We do not store card numbers, UPI PINs or bank logins; payments are handled by Razorpay.

## Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you can ask to:

- **access** the personal data we hold about you,
- **correct** or update it,
- **delete** your account and data (subject to the tax records we must legally keep),
- **nominate** someone to exercise these rights for you.

## How to make a request

Email **support@reviewpine.com** from your account's email address and say what you need. We confirm your identity and respond within the time the law requires.

## If you are not satisfied

- **In India:** contact our Grievance Officer at **anjaney@ainygo.com**. Details are on our [grievance redressal](https://reviewpine.com/grievance) page.
- **In the EU or UK:** you can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO). Your rights under the GDPR are listed in our [privacy notice](https://reviewpine.com/privacy#rights).

# Keeping your account secure

## Built-in protection

- **No passwords** to steal or reuse. Every sign-in needs a fresh code sent to your email.
- Codes are **single-use** and **expire in 10 minutes**, and stop working after several wrong attempts.
- Changing your sign-in email needs codes from **both** the old and new address.
- The widget on your website contains no private information about your account.

## Good habits

- Keep your **email account** secure with a strong password and two-step verification. Your email is the key to your ReviewPine account.
- **Never share a sign-in code.** We will never ask you for one by phone, WhatsApp or email.
- **Sign out** on shared computers (account menu → **Sign out**).

> **Important:** If you receive a sign-in code you did not request, someone may have typed your email by mistake. Without the code they cannot get in; you can ignore the email.

Something looks wrong? Email **support@reviewpine.com** straight away.

# Accessibility

The widget is designed to be usable by everyone who visits your website.

- **Keyboard:** slider arrows, **Load more** and links can be reached and used with the keyboard.
- **Screen readers:** ratings are announced as text (for example "5 out of 5 stars"), and buttons have clear labels.
- **Reduced motion:** auto-play respects visitors who ask their device to reduce motion.
- **Readable text:** reviews keep their original language and reading direction, and text size follows sensible defaults.

## Your part

- Keep strong **contrast** between review text and card background when you choose colours.
- If you use **Auto-play** on a slider, keep the arrows visible so visitors stay in control.

# Frequently asked questions

### Do I need any coding skills?

No. You paste your Google Maps link, pick a layout and copy one line of code into your website. If you can paste text into your website builder, you can install it. See [the quick start](/getting-started/quick-start).

### Do I need to give access to my Google account?

No. We only read your public Google reviews. You never sign in to Google through us.

### Which websites does it work on?

Any website that lets you add HTML or a script embed: WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Framer, Ghost and hand-coded sites. See [install guides](/install/get-your-embed-code).

### Will it slow down my website?

No. It is tiny, loads in the background, only loads when visitors scroll near it and reserves its space so nothing jumps. See [page speed and SEO](/install/speed-and-seo).

### Does it use cookies or track visitors?

No cookies, no storage and no tracking, so it adds nothing to your cookie banner. See [privacy for your visitors](/account/visitor-privacy).

### Can I hide negative reviews?

You can set a minimum star rating, hide very short reviews and pin your favourites. See [choose which reviews show](/widgets/choose-which-reviews-show).

### Can customers leave a new review from the widget?

Yes. Turn on the **Write a review** button and it opens Google's review form for your business.

### How do new reviews reach my widget?

On paid plans, new reviews are added automatically every day. To show a brand-new review straight away, refresh the business from **Your Business** (once a day) and it arrives within minutes. See [keep your reviews up to date](/businesses/refresh-reviews).

### How many widgets can I create?

Unlimited widgets (fair use) for every business, on every plan.

### How does the free trial work?

Use every feature free for 7 days with one business, no card needed. When it ends, your widget shows a small notice until you choose a plan. See [the free trial](/getting-started/free-trial).

### Can I pay monthly?

Plans are yearly and renew by autopay. Pay by UPI, card or netbanking. See [plans and pricing](/billing/plans-and-pricing).

### Do I get a GST invoice?

Yes, for every payment, with your GSTIN if you add one at checkout. See [GST invoices](/billing/gst-invoices).

### Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Switch auto-renew off under **Billing**; your plan runs until the end of the year you paid for. See [cancel auto-renew](/billing/cancel-auto-renew).

### Can I use it for several businesses or clients?

Yes. Plans cover one or several businesses on one account, with one yearly bill. See [manage several businesses](/businesses/multiple-businesses).

### Are reviews in Hindi and other languages supported?

Yes. Reviews show in the language they were written, and the widget's labels can be English or Hindi. See [widget language](/widgets/widget-language).

# Widget not showing on my website

Work through these checks in order. Most problems are solved by the first three.

1. **Copy the code with the Copy button.** On **Manage Widgets**, click **Copy code** and paste it again. Selecting text by hand can cut off the end of the line. The code must end with `</script>`.
2. **Paste it in the page body.** It should sit where the reviews should appear, not in the `<head>`, not inside an HTML comment, and not in a plain text or rich text box (use an HTML, Code or Embed element).
3. **Publish and view the live page.** Many builders (Webflow, Squarespace, Wix) do not run scripts inside the editor. Publish, then open the real page.
4. **Scroll down to it.** The widget loads when a visitor scrolls near it. Give it a second.
5. **Try a private window.** Ad blockers and privacy extensions can block embedded content. If it works in a private window with extensions off, an extension is the cause.
6. **Check that the widget still exists** on **Manage Widgets**, and that your trial or plan is active under **Billing**. A deleted widget or an ended plan shows a small notice rather than a blank space; see [my widget shows a notice](/troubleshooting/widget-shows-a-notice).
7. **Opened the page as a file?** Pages opened by double-clicking an .html file on your computer may block scripts in some browsers. Test on a real web address or local server.

## Still stuck?

Email **support@reviewpine.com** with the **web address of the page** and the **widget name**. A screenshot of your browser's console (right-click → Inspect → Console) helps us answer faster.

# My widget shows a notice instead of reviews

The widget shows a small notice instead of reviews in these cases:

| Cause | Fix |
|---|---|
| Your **free trial ended** | Purchase a plan under **Billing**. Reviews come back straight away. |
| Your **plan ended** or was not renewed | Renew under **Billing**. |
| The **widget was deleted** | Remove the old code from your site, or create a new widget and paste its code. |
| The **business was removed** from your account | Add the business again, create a widget and paste the new code. |

When you renew, you do not need to change the code on your website. Your designs are kept.

# My Google Maps link is not recognised

1. **Open your own listing first.** Copy the link from your business's own page on Google Maps, not from a list of search results or a directions screen.
2. **Use Share → Copy link.** Short links like `maps.app.goo.gl/…` work best.
3. **Paste the whole link**, including `https://`.
4. **Try the Place ID** instead. It starts with `ChIJ` and can be found with Google's free Place ID finder.
5. **Wrong business found?** Do not confirm it. Copy the link again from the correct listing.

If a link still does not work, click **Report this link** under the error. We review every report and add support for new link formats.

See also: [find your Google Maps link](/businesses/find-your-google-maps-link).

---

# No reviews found for my business

You will see **No reviews found** when Google has no public reviews for the listing you added, or when they could not be read at that moment.

## What to do

1. **Check the listing on Google Maps.** Does it show reviews publicly? New businesses may not have any yet.
2. **Make sure it is the right listing.** Businesses with similar names are easy to mix up.
3. Click **Try again** on the business's progress page. You can try a few times a day.

## No reviews yet?

A widget needs at least one review to show. Share your [Google review link](/businesses/get-more-google-reviews) with a few happy customers, then try again once the first review is published.

Source: https://docs.reviewpine.com/troubleshooting/no-reviews-found

---

# Reviews missing or out of date

## A new review is not showing

- **Wait for the daily update.** On paid plans, new reviews are added automatically every day.
- **Refresh the business** on **Your Business** (paid plans, once a day). See [keep your reviews up to date](/businesses/refresh-reviews).
- Google can take a little while to publish a new review publicly. If it is not visible on Google Maps yet, it cannot be imported yet.

## Some reviews are hidden in the widget

Check the widget's **Reviews shown** settings:

- **Minimum rating** may hide lower ratings.
- **Minimum review length** may hide star-only or short reviews.
- **Max reviews** may limit how many appear.

## The review count looks different from the number of cards

The header shows your **total** Google review count. The cards show the reviews that match your filters, and very long histories show the most recent reviews.

## A review was deleted on Google but still shows

Deleted reviews drop out as your review history is refreshed. If one needs to go immediately, email **support@reviewpine.com** with the business and reviewer name.

# Sign-in code not arriving

1. **Wait a minute** and check again. Email can take a moment.
2. **Check spam, junk, Promotions and Updates** folders, and search your inbox for "sign-in code".
3. **Check the address** you typed on the sign-in page.
4. **Request a new code** after about a minute with **Resend code**. Your newest code always works.
5. **Work email?** Some company filters hold automated email. Ask your IT team to allow our emails, or use another address.

Codes expire after 10 minutes. If nothing arrives after a few tries, email **support@reviewpine.com** from the same address.
